Windows XP Sound Themes

With my Windows XP Sound Themes I can play any of the
sounds through my speakers when I go into Sounds to test
and hear them play. However, when I open, close or do any
other action they DO NOT PLAY. I have checked everything
that I know of and all seems to be okay.

PLEASE HELP (My Windows XP is just 9 months old)

I believe it is in her Top Ten section.

Mervyn, did you try going to Start>All Programs>Accessories>System
Tools>System Info>Tools>DirectX
Diagnostic tool. Check under Sound.
