Windows XP Slow Printing

Guest

I have Windows XP Home Edition with an HP Deskjet 3420 Printer. Up until now,
I haven't experienced any problems. But now the printer takes about 20 mins
to print one page of simple text. I have loads of memory left and have
updated the driver but it makes no difference. Any ideas??

Press winkey-break(or start/run 'sysdm.cpl') ,/Hardware tab Open the Device
manager and click the + sign next to Ports(COM & LPT). select the printer
port, e.g. ECP Printer Port (LPT1). Port Settings tab check the 'Enable
legacy Plug and Play detection'
