Windows XP Shortcut Icon problem

Hi,
Any help with this would be appreciated:

When I open "My Computer" and creat a shortcut Icon from the CD-RW (in this case it's my (D:) drive.) to my desktop and then I try to explore from that Icon with or without a cd in the drive I get the following error: WIndows is trying to locate D:\ if you want you can browse yourself. When it's finished trying to locate D (without browesing) I get the following error: "Problem with Shortcut"
The item "D:\" that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly.

Then it tries to match it based on size on an program shortcut located in my C drive. The options are: Fix it, Delete it and Cancel. Cancel gets you back to the same error while fix it changes the shortcut so that it's unusable and delete...well that's obvious. By the way, I tried to use TweakUI's Icon repair with no success.
