Windows XP Setup

For the last year I have had problems with XP. After a
few months it crashes and I have to reload everything.
Now I can't even do that. I receive errors durring setup.
This is the last one,"D:\I386asms," The error message
says that it couldn't load this file. Any help would be
appreciated.
