Hi, having installed Windows XP SP2 my USB modem v.92 56k no longer operates
at 45Kbps and I'm lucky if I can get 33Kbps. Rolling back to SP1a or before
solves
the problem. I'm using the most current drivers for my modem (Zoom 3090 mini).
Similarly I've noted that a the USB update (KB822603) also has the same
effect.
I assume that KB822603 is probably no part of WinXP SP2.
WinXP SP1a reports version 5.1.2600.000 for usbhub.sys (This works)
KB822603 reports version 5.1.2600.1243, WinXP SP2 reports a higher version.
Any ideas how I can get usb*.sys files version 5.1.2600.000 into WinXP SP2.
I've tried simply copying them but the system always restores the from
somewhere.
Help!!
