Windows XP Service Pack 2

I'd like to install Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition, but when I try to do
so, I get a message that tells me I need to install Win XP Service Pack 2
before I can install VB 2005 Express Edition. When I try to install Win XP
SP2 I get this message: "c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe is open or in use by
another application."
I know that file is the windows command processor, but I don't know how to
resolve this issue.
Can anyone tell me how I can resolve this?

Hi

Have a look in the Task Manager to see if 'cmd.exe' is running - if so, stop
that Process
