How do I get rid of this intrusion? It has slowed down
my computer to a snails pace. And keeps telling me I
need to activate the firewall. When Netgear tells me not
to activate it with my WiFi router which has built in
firewall. How do I uninstall or turn off the Widows
Security Alerts this service pack has installed???

Agree with dev. If u have more than one Firewall "on", you'll experience
problems, particularly with internet applications.

True, you should not use more than one SOFTWARE firewall at a time, since
they will almost always conflict with one another,

but it IS ok, in fact recommended, that you use a personal firewall (ie,
software) in combination with your hardware firewall (ie, inside the
router). The software firewall will help inform you what software
processes on your system are accessing the net, something that the hw
firewall can not do.
