xp service pack 2

i had to re-install windows xp home edition. it doesnt have the firewall
included. when installing pc-cillin anti-virus, it told me to download xp
service pack 2. when i do, my whole computer messes up and i cant get online.
if i uninstall serv pack 2, the computer works fine, but then i cant use my
anti-virus and i have no firewall. HELP!!

Why SP2 when SP3 is out? You want it: WindowsXP-KB936929-SP3-x86.exe is the
