Windows XP Service Pack 2 and Add/Remove Programs

I have installed SP2 a few weeks ago. I looked around on the system and
everything seemed fine. UNTIL TODAY! When I went into the Add/Remove Programs
in the Control Panel, I liked what I saw. The updates to the applications
were shown as a sub-category of the primary application Adobe Reader 6.01
with Adobe Reader 6.02 Update underneath it (as long as I clicked on the +
sign). But, I lost the Change/Remove buttons for ALL my applicatins. I can't
uninstall ANYTHING! (including the infamous XPSP2).

I had changed my mind about Microsoft's testing procedures before putting a
software out for distribution. Old habits die hard. Apparently Microsoft has
not thoroughly tested this massive update before putting it out.

Q. "Apparently Microsoft has not thoroughly tested this massive
update before putting it out...."

A. SP2 for Windows XP underwent extraordinary testing on hundreds
of thousands of different PC configurations. Apparently, your PC
suffered some registry corruption totally unrelated to the installation
of SP2. You may have inadvertently deleted the install.log files
for your programs.
