windows xp service pack 1a

For me to download the windows xp service pack 1a, it
would take over 6 hours. I keep getting kicked off line
for inactivity when I try to download. I just don't have
6 hours to watch the download.

How can I order the service pack on disk, so I can load
it offline?

Hi WJM
You can order SP1 on CD using the links below,
in the US/Canada there is a charge for the CD however.

US/Canada:
http://microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/servicepacks/sp1/ordercd.asp
United Kingdom:
http://www.microsoft.com/uk/windowsxp/servicepacks/sp1.asp
You could try downloading the network install file rather than the express,
it is a much later download (143Mb) but no internet connection is required
during setup. A download manager such as getright could be used to resume
the download if the connection gets dropped.

If you want to try downloading the network installer, that can be found at
http://microsoft.com/WindowsXP/pro/downloads/servicepacks/sp1/network.asp
and getright from
