Windows XP reinstall

I wish to format my computer and I have to go back to
Windows ME which came with the computer. I have since
bought the XP Home upgrade but I keep all my disks in a
CD wallet and cannot find the original box with product
key. Is there anyway to find this out whilst XP is still
on my computer before I reinstall Windows ME? Hope you
can help I've search from cellar to attic and cant find
it!!!
