Windows XP Professional x64 Edition Installation Problems

J

Jared Jackson

I recently attempted to install Windows XP Pro x64
Edition onto my system.
After the initial files copy themselves to my computer, I
receive a message
that windows is restarting. Immediately following this
message, I recieve a
blue screen with the following technical information:

*** STOP: 0x0000001E (0xFFFFFFFF80000003,
0xFFFFF80001004A30,
0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000)

My system specs are as follows:

Asus K8N-E Deluxe Motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 3400+
1 GB Corsair XMS PC-3200 RAM
120GB Maxtor SATA Hard Drive
160GB Samsung SATA Hard Drive
MSI Radeon X-800 Pro Video Card

Any help that can be offered in the installation of this
product would be
greatly appreciated as we are experimenting with the 64-
bit edition of XP
Pro in one of my college courses.

Sincerely,

Jared L. Jackson

Please repost to the specific group to support the x64 Beta builds
see
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/64bit/x64/trial/support.mspx
(Note: the page above mentions x64 Server 2003 - the XP build is from the
same code base and IS supported in the same group).
