Here is an easy one:
I have trying to share a printer on a windows 2003 server (32bit version)
I click on additional drivers and tick the x64 line and then OK – I select
my x64 drive downloaded from HP.
It seems to be happy with the driver, it then asks for the “please insert
the windows 2003 family (x64 processor) disk†and is specifically looking for
this file “NTPRINT.INFâ€.
I pointed the system to our Windows server 2003 disk, but this was not the
file it wants. I also tried the AMD64 directory on the Windows XP 64 Edition
disk.
I have contacted the SA support, but they seem to think that we need to
change our server hardware and software. I fail to believe that Microsoft
would have required changing servers to support x64 desktop printer
installations.
Please help thanks
