Failed to connect to server. Error: 0x80070422

This appears in the Application and
System event logs constantly,
causes svchost.exe to crash and the computer become
un-responsive. I have to reboot and it happens
all again..

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks,

Ward

The 'msi' reference suggests this may be connected with an installed program
which checks its own integrity every time it starts - and which posisbly has
a buggy installer.

It might also be caused by an attempted DCOM attack if you don't have the
DCOM patch installed. (though that dates back a fair way, and most computers
are now patched)

One option might be to disable DCOM, as this process is seldom used, and a
major vulnerability.
