I've upgraded a machine from 2k pro to xp pro and remote desktop is missing. anybody come across this before

i've searched google and got nothing useful. KB is also equally silent. perhaps my search terms are not the best..

Your suspicion is correct: If you used this search string

"Remote Desktop" download

then you would find http://support.microsoft.com/?id=306626
straight away.

When you access System Properties [Winkey+Pause/Break], do you see a Remote
Tab?
Remote Desktop can be enabled by checking the box.
