Windows XP Pro taskbar problem/bug

When I turned on my PC today (day Im writing this message), I found out that
the taskbar buttons are gone. What I mean is whenever you open up a
window/program, there is no button on the taskbar that indicates it. If I
minimize it, it still does not appear. However the window/program still runs
in the background and can be see in Task Manager by Ctrl + Alt + Del. Also by
pressing Alt + Tab I can swap back to the window/program.

This might not be a big problem but it does have some inconveniences. Hoping
to fix this problem ASAP!
