Windows XP Pro Screen Saver sensitivity

Does anyone know how to make the default screen saver "My
Pictures Slidedhow" awake or stop only after a key has
been pushed or how to increase the sensitivity of the
mouse so it doesn't interrupt the screensaver?

You can turn off waking up the computer with the mouse. In the Device
Manager open the Properties for the mouse > Power Management and
disable "Allow this device..." here.
