Hi,
Im having a problem with Windows XP Pro running more than 2GB ram. The main
spec of the machine is as follows.
SuperMicro X6DAL-TG Motherboard (Dual Slots) (Bios Rev 1.1A 6/10/04)
2 x Intel Xeon 3Ghz.
4 x Kingston KVR333X72RC25/1G ECC Ram 1GB
The POST displays 4GB ram no problem but in system properties of windows it
only ever shows 2GB. We have tried XP Pro SP1 & SP2. Weve also tried Small
Business Server but they all do the same. Sisoft detects it as 4GB also.
We have also tried the /3GB switch for boot.ini for all the above operating
systems.
Does anyone know if there are any issues with this amount of ram? Has
anyone ever got 4GB working within XP Pro?
Anyones help would be greatly appreciated.
