XP not recognize 4GB of RAM

GMZBR

I am running a machine with 4GB of RAM memory and BIOS correctly reports the
full amount. However, Windows XP Pro reports, on My Computer properties and
on Performance (Task Manager) 3.5GB and Windows System Information reports
the full amount of 4GB.

System configuration:
2 Processors Xeon 2.4GHz
RAM 4GB
Win XP SP1
Parameter "3GB" added to BOOT.INI

Any suggestions?

For 4GB you should add a switch in boot.ini - after the /fastdetect and
a space, add /3GB

System Info is notoriously unreliable on its reports on RAM - take what
is shown on the front page of Control Panel - System
