Windows XP Pro, Problems with Yahoo Geocities and more

Please help me,

Since I installed Windows XP Pro(had Windows 2000 before)
I have not been able to launch the Yahoo Geocities page
builder(Java)tool and work on my website. I also noticed
that I can not launch the insert address link in my Yahoo
e-mail account. I have to go to my e-mail address page and
select the recipients that way. I am on Comcast high speed
cable internet. I am using a cable modem(of course)and a
Siemens SpeedStream router(I have a roommate with a
computer). I checked with Yahoo and they gave me some
suggestions that did not work. I have looked on this site
and found something that said Windows XP Pro has a built
in "Internet Connection Firewall" or ICF I could shut down
that might be causing my problems. I followed the
directions but could not find anything labeled Internet
Connection Firewall or ICF to shut down. If this is all
that I need to do to solve this problem please walk me
through step by step directions on how to find it and
disable it. If you can help me, please contact me through
my e-mail address.

(e-mail address removed)

Thanks so much,

Shawn

Type ICF into the textbox of Find on top Lt corner of the Help and Support
page. The first item under Pick A Task is Enable or Disable Internet
Connection Firewall. Click that and you will find all the information in
the Rt pane. (For explanation of To open the Internet Connection, read the
Notes halfway down the pane.)

If you are still lost, go back to Yahoo. They are pretty good at this sort
of questions. Or, of course, come back here!

Bee.
