I scanned my hard drive with norton antivirus 2003 and
detected the backdoor sinit virus. I removed the virus
as mentioned by symantec website and rebooted. The log on
window appear and I log on by clicking my name but it
logs right off and I cannot get windows to load. Any help?

Try Safe Mode, for starters.
While the computer is booting, tap on F8 repeatedly. How does Windows behave
in Safe Mode?

It behaves the same way. I get to the welcome screen try
to log in and it logs be back off. What next?

wont even boot in safe mode..logs me on and right off.

help?

Since you can't get into Safe Mode, unless your file system is FAT32
(and it's probably NTFS), you're looking at a Repair Install at the
least. Probably the best thing to do is just format the hard drive and
clean install Windows. Restore data from backup. You might have had
other viruses or done something wrong during the repairs, because the
sinit backdoor doesn't look like it causes much damage.
