Windows XP pro install hangs at 'Starting Windows'

Help!

My windows Xp professional SP1 installation freezes after
loading all of the drivers at the bottom of the screen.
The rest of the screen is blue, and the bottom of the
screen says 'Starting Windows'. The computer becomes
unresponsive.

The motherboard and Ram are new, the motherboard is an
EPOX 8rda+, and the ram is corsair XMS PC3200. The chip
is an Athlon XP 2100+.

I know it is not the cd, becuase it will install on
another computer. I know it is not the CD rom drive,
because I have swapped it out for one that works. I know
it is not the hard drive, because I am able to remove the
harddrive from that computer, and install XP on another
computer to that harddrive. I also know it isn't my
GeForceFX 5600, because I swapped that out as well.

The RAM runs at an FSB of 200Mhz, with timings 2-3-3-6.
The ram survived 3 hours of MemTest86, so I know the RAM
is fine.

The computer will install windows 98, but an upgrade will
not work. The upgrade gets caught at the same point
of 'Starting WIndows' when you first reboot the machine.
When I install windows using another computer, and then
move that harddrive into my machine, I get a Stop error on
startup.

If it is convinient, please e-mail at
(e-mail address removed)

Thank you for your time.

I solved my own problem, but this may be useful to know::

I turned of ACPI in my BIOS and it worked.
