Windows XP/PowerPoint 2002 Crashing

A user in my office claims that every time he edits a
graph in Powerpoint, the application crashes, and issues
the following error:

"MS XP has encountered a problem and will shut down now".

Any suggestions?

Find out what version of PowerPoint and Windows (including SP levels of both)
the user's running and post back to this thread with that info.

Also, try to post the exact text of the error message.
