How can I delete the many images that are in my Photo
Printing Wizard? They are from companies I contacted on
the internet, but I did not request these images be
stored or copied.

Before you can view an image on the internet
it must be downloaded to your Temporary Internet
Files folder. That's why you notice the wait
time while images are loading.

Delete your temporary Internet files.

Running Disk Cleanup should take care of it.

Tool in Windows XP

Also, on an Internet Explorer window...you could
go to...Tools / Internet Options / Delete Files / OK.

Do it again and check, "Delete All Offline Content" / OK.

Delete Cookies Button / OK.

Hello John and Shirley - I read with interest Shirley's question and then
your answer John. I have been trying to delete the many images from my
Photo Printing Wizard too. They are not from web sites, but are mainly
photos etc. that have been sent to me as email attachments. I followed your
instructions John, but the photos are still in the Photo Printing Wizard !!!
These are photos in emails that I have deleted, and are not photos that I
have purposely 'saved' to 'my pictures' or anywhere else in my computer. I
just want to get rid of them !! Can you help me please. Many thanks,
Chook

How...*exactly*...are you accessing the
Photo Printing Wizard when the unwanted
images appear?

Many thanks for your reply John. In answer to your question, when I receive
an email with a jpg photo attachment, I open the attachment, do not save it
anywhere, but right-click, then go 'print'. That is when the photo printing
wizard comes up, and stored in it are the unwanted pictures that I want to
get rid of !!! Can you help me please ??
Many thanks,
Chook

If these files were downloaded from or e-
mail, they may be in a subfolder of your Internet temporary files. The
folder name will start with OLK and there will be a number after OLK. The
easiest
way to find this folder is to search for OLK* and once found open it and see
if the files are there and delete them.
Click on Start and click on Search and then
All files and folders
More advanced options
Search system folders
Search hidden files and folders
Search subfolders
In the top textbox "All or part..." type in exactly this
OLK*
and click search
This search will take a while but should return all
folders starting with
OLK.You probably only have one.
Open the folders, change the view to Thumbnails and see if the unwanted
files are there. If so, just select them and delete. They will go to your
Recycle bin, delete them from there also. Or, hold the Shift key down when
you delete them in order to prevent them from going into your Recycle bin.

Ok...the unwanted images you are seeing are
in your Temporary Internet Files folder.

I don't know what the previous message said
but the instructions in following articles should
help you to empty the folder. (more info below)

(260897) How to Delete the Contents of the
Temporary Internet Files Folder

Any image you view on the internet or in
an e-mail message has to be downloaded
before you can see it on your screen...these
files are in your Temporary Internet Files folder.

First, open any folder and go to...Tools / Folder
Options / View tab...

At, "Hidden Files and Folders" tick..."Show
Hidden Files and Folders" / Apply / OK.

Next...right click your Start button and choose...Explore...

In your file tree go to...Local Disk C:/Documents
and Settings/Your Name/Local Settings/Temporary
Internet Files...

Open your "Temporary Internet Files" folder and
delete everything in it. Just go to...Edit / Select
All / File / Delete...Yes.

Hi Yves, back now after the weekend! Did exactly what you told me, and sure
enough I found a folder OLK with a number after it. There were numerous
pictures in this folder, but the OFFENDING photos were not !! I deleted the
folder anyway, but still the offending (and I mean offending) pictures come
up in my print wizard, but only when I right-click to print out any other
pictures that come to me via outlook. When I right-click on pictures that
are saved in 'My Pictures', only the pictures that are stored there - and
none of them are offending! - come up.
Do you have any other suggestions? Is there a way that I can uninstall
this wizard and then re-install ??
Many thanks,
chook

Then these pictures did not come from e-mail but from another source,
probably the Internet.
Try this first, in IE 6, click on Tools on the top bar and then Internet
options. In the middle of the opening window, click on Delete and a small
window will also open, accept the option to delete local temporary files.
Then see if the offending pictures are gone.
If not, search your hard drive for all picture files on it.
Follow the same directions, but instead of typing in OLK* type exactly this:
*.jpg
and press Enter.
This will return all photo files on your hard drive, you will now have to
look at the thumbnails to find the offending photos and then delete them.
