Windows XP Performance Problem

Hi! I'm having a problem with my Windows. There are 2
problems that concern me. One is that whenever i open the
My Computer folder it takes FOREVER to load up. The other
problem is when i go to install something and i click on
a certain folder to put it in it also takes a long time.
The only thing i can think to do is to reinstall windows
xp. If you have any other ideas they would be
appreciated. Thanks!
 
Check Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel for hotfix 811493. If there
uninstall it.
