windows xp password

My daughter, purchased a compaq presario from Best Buy,
for a xmas present in Dec 2002...It never worked because
they did not know the password ..after xmas they went
back to Best Buy..the person that set up the computer..is
quit..she never got the CD recovery disk...only floppy,
to start then you need recovery disk...I tried to talk to
HP but says my serial number is no good???? no help there
 
Either way,XP wouldnt be registered to youre daughter,
making the os invalid after 30 days.Buy a new edition of
XP,boot from cd,recovery,format the hd.
FORMAT C: /FS:ntfs
Then let XP install as it will try to,if prompted for
password before recovery,press the enter key,only.
