Windows XP/Office 97 compatibility

I am buying a new computer with XP Home Edition on it.
Will I be able to load Office 97 on it? I have the
original Office 97 CD (full program.

Sharon, thanks for the reply. Did you put Office 97 on a
machine that had XP on it? Or did you upgrade the
operating system to XP? This might make a difference.

Mark, I bought a machine with XP Home and then installed Office 97. I have used all the later versions and did not like them as well as 97.
