Windows XP Nothing Opens

Windows XP comes up but won't open anything-not Control Panel, Windows
Explorer, Nortons, etc. When it closes down it says that Spysweeper has to
close down. I've had this problem before but just can't remember how I fixed
it. It's my son's computer and it seems I had to delete something. Is this
problem familiar to anyone?
 
Read the post 5 after yours,once in xp,uninstall spysweeper,or open event
viewer for details,or go to run,type:services.msc In msc,scroll to problem
program,double click,select disable or manual start from auto start.
