Windows xp not responding

For some reason windows xp or should I say some programs are very slow to
respond. I double click on i.e. or outlook express and it takes a good few
minutes before anything happens. Nothings changed on my system apart from
virus and xp updates?????

Try:
- Using task manager to find what programs are hogging
your system resources
- If it is spyware or the like, try using Lavasoft
adaware to get rid of it
- try reinstalling windows - sometimes helps

An early version of one fix - 811943 - gave this effect in conjunction
with some resident AV programs. But if you installed it since the end
of May, or got the later version of the fix, included in the 'roll up'
826939 it should be corrected
