Hello,
I recently moved and have a dell inspiron 8500 and the hard drive was damaged and since I paid exra had the complete care warranty on it and they shipped me out a new drive but no Operating System and I can not find my Dell recovery discs so I called Dell and they told me that there is no way for me to download it and they can only mail out replacement discs within 30 days of purchase her advice was to buy a brand new Win XP CD that in my mind I have already paid for. Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem? I just dont feel like I should have too pay for a cd version when I have my license and already paid for the software there has to be somewhere I can download it and make a bootable cd to install it...all help will be appreciated.....thanks
