Hi

Does anyone know whether the mulitlanguage version on
Windows XP is exactly the same as the localized versions?

We need to test localized software (games) and would like
to use the mulitlanguage packs instead of building
separate versions.
Would this work ok - the FAQ says XP mui is 97% of the
localized versions but what is different in that last 3% -
would it affect games testing.

Thanks in advance

Does anyone know about this?

The Windows XP MUI is sold only through Volume Licensing programs such as
the Microsoft Open License Program (MOLP / Open), Select, and Enterprise
agreement (or with a new computer as an OEM version at customer request).
It is not available through retail channels.

We have the select license and have the Multilanguage
packs, (We are a Multi-billion $ company).
The question was whether it is close enough to the
localised versions of XP that it could be used for
software testing of localised versions of our software
instead of having to create separate localised builds for
each language.
