windows XP missing system file

okay i cant boot windows xp. it says one of its system files are missing or
corrupt. i tried booting in safe mode which it wont do. i tried to repair
the install with the xp cd but it needs the administrator password. i dont
remember it so thats a no go. HELP ME PLEASE all my pictures are on there i
treasure those things!!

XP has hundreds of system files. We need to know the exact wording of the
error message.
 
the file ntoskrnl.exe is missing or corrupt
