Windows XP Media Center help

Hi.

I have a Windows XP Media centre PC (Roll-out 2), and im having
problems with Windows media Player (inc. when using the media centre
player)/ Windows Help & System restore.

The problem i get is that none of them will open (from start menu or
direct from the hard drive).

The problem started when i installed Media Player 11. It would not open.
After searching forums, i decided to un-install WMP 11, only to find
that the 3 about programs now wont work.

I have tried to use Safe-Mode, but i get the same problem.

Am i going to have to do a clean install, or does anyone know how to get
around this??

Thanx In advance.

P.S. When i try to view a web-page that has a WMP video, the site freezes.

Update, when WMP11 in Un-installed & i run WMP10, i get the message:

'An internal application error has occurred'

Then it closes
