windows xp logon screen

somehow(i don't know how) i changed my user logon screen
to the classic windows prompt and i can't change it back.
i followed the normal procedure (Start>control panel>user
accounts>change the way a user logs on/off) but when i
check "use the welcome screen" and click "Apply options"
it doesn't reset the welcome screen. please help
me!!!!!!!!!? somebody?

Go to Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

In the right pane scroll down to UIHost. Double click it and type this in
under Value Data: logonui.exe
