Windows xp login speed please help

Hello, I just uninstalled everything on my computer and reinstalled XP and
all necessary drivers im only using 2 gigs on my hardrive and my msconfig is
not showing a lot of programs my problem is when i click a user name to sign
in, when i do that it take about 30 seconds and it stays on the loading
personal settings. What can i do to fix this. any help would be appreciated.

The official MS line is that you need 1.5 gig of HD space to run their OS.
Plus pagefile.sys I would think.

Yes i have plenty of room im saying that i have 35 gigs that are unused soo
my hard drive is basically empty my problem is the logging on which take
20-30 seconds as it says loading personal settings.
