Loading personal settings?? help

Hello i just finished removing everything from my computer and reinstalling
the necessary items. So im currently using 4 gigs out of 40. When ever i
pick the user i want it take about 30 seconds and it stays on the loading
personal settings screen and then everything appears i tried the msconfig i
disabled everything etc and it still did the same thing my computer is fairly
new it has 640 mb of ram. Any help would be appreciated.

If you are on a LAN, you might use a Static IP to speed the logon.

I had the same problem and fixed it by removing certain spyware on my
system -- I obtained the solution from

Instead of altering the registry you can search for the spyware:
"msg117.dll" directly in system32 rename the file, reboot, and then
delete the renamed file. For removal instructions see:

If that doesn't work then utilise the registry hack to determine the
nature of any files that are loading when you login, do some research
