I have been having a problem with my Windows XP Home
laptop for some time now. Windows will not reboot. I get
the logoff screen, and then it hangs at the "Windows is
shutting down" message. I have just recently reimaged the
PC to attempt to fix this problem, with no luck.
Here are the specs:
Compaq Presario 3005us
P4 2.4 ghz
512 MB RAM
40 GB HDD
Windows XP Home edition
all the latest hotfixes, updates and SPs
I can turn off the computer, and then turn it back on, but
obviously that isn't a realistic alternative.
Any help would be appreciated, since I am out of ideas.
Thanks
