windows xp keep rebooting

Hi,

I don't know why my desktop keeps rebooting. I have called help desk but
they suggest reinstalling windows. They guy says probably windows has become
corrupted or due to virus.

below is the blue screen I getnote it's 0x000040b)

i can go into safe mode and windows but it always reboots.

before i do anything else, I would like to know what's going on i.e. is it
virus and what kind?
