Windows XP Installer Fault

Im getting an error message that says Windows Installer
can't run and that the cause might be running in safe
mode or incorrect installation. This problem has only
just developed so assume a file has corrupted. Only have
a "full" reload disk that will in effect reformat my hard
drive. Can I download and replace installer from anywhere.

I would run error checking. It fixes minor inconsistances
in windows files. Need help? Open help and support and
search for "error checking"
