Windows xp installed twice, how do I remove one?

While trying to repair windows I installed a second version of windows. I do
not want a dual boot system nor a partition. How can this be fixed?

Boot to the installation that you want to keep...
then delete the *other* windows folder and remove the entry into boot.ini


The first installation was probably in the windows folder...
and the 2nd one probably in windows.000 or something similar
