Windows XP/HP Recovery CD

My sister needs help. She recently upgraded from Windows 2000 to XP. She
got the XP operating system only and do not have any of the software that
originally came with her computer. Can she use the HP recovery CD that
original came with the computer to recovery the some of the original
software? Thanks.

No. The HP Recovery CD doesn't give options to install just the software.
It only reverts the hard drive to the operating system and software
configuration as it was when it was shipped. If you use the HP Recovery CD,
Windows XP will be gone, along with any data files, software, and drivers
that were installed during and after the Windows XP install.
