My friend has a Gateway Laptop she got original, but when her husband used
it, he let a lot o viruses make a big damage, then he sent it to a friend,
Who partitioned the disc in two and installed Windows XP (with no
registration) and windows 2000, Then when using the windows 2000, keyboard
isn't working at all, just the digital mouse and the 2nd functions.

My friend want an original version of windows XP, she got "Vista" but I told
her, that her computer hasn't the minimum requirements to install Vista, but
now I saw on the back of her computer the original registration key for her
Original XP Home windows. Do she can get a recovery disc without buying a new
windows XP software with that information? anf if so, when we can ask for the
recovery disc?

you would need to talk to gateway to get a recovery disc, as it is matched to
the model and serial number of your friends pc. I wouldn't think the install
key on the pc would be of any help, due to it most likely being an OEM
version.
You didn't list the specifics of the pc, it just might run Vista.
But since the two current operating systems are Pirate copies, I suggest you
advise your friend to get a legit copy of XP and install it.

There should be a recovery disk associated with the laptop...

Gateway had to supply some what to restore the computer. They have three
options:
1. XP Installation CD
2. Recovery CD
3. Partition (sometimes hidden) on the hard drive with an image of the
drive as received from the factory.

If she did not receive a disk, then there should be a recovery partition.
Of course disks could have come with the system and they are lost/misplaced,
and/or the recovery partition was removed by the "friend" who worked on it.

What she should do is contact the computer tech support to see what the
recovery process is, and if needed order a recovery CD. If they don't offer
a recovery CD, and the process to recovery involved the recovery partition,
and that has been removed by the friend, then she would need to get a new
drive with the recovery partition from Gateway.

Lastly a generic OEM XP Home installation CD should work with the product
key on the sticker attached to the computer. Try to find someone who has
one of these. Make a copy of it for her, there is nothing unique about the
CD. It has to be a generic OEM CD, and it must be XP Home since you said
that was what was specified on the product key sticker.
