Trying to fix my friends computer and cant connect to internet because I dont
have servicepack 1 how can I get it?

Download it to another computer, put it on a flash drive, transfer it.

What does SP1 have to do with connecting to the Internet?

SP1 has nothing to do with an internet connection,you need to install
the boards networking software/drivers,& the chipset installation utility,get
those from the mfg (intel,amd,etc),or use the software that cam on the
cd with the pc,they maybe outdated but they will work.
