Windows XP Home Update-Admininistrator

Hello, please help !! :-(
I can't do a windows update, I am the adminitrator, I have
re-installed
windows xp home.When I try to do an update I can connect
to the web site but
when the site is searching my PC its says Adminitrators
only.

Don't know if Andy has, but I have the same problem, and the troubleshooter
didn't solve it. Neither did about two dozen other Windows Update tweaks
and solutions. If anyone finds a solution to this, PLEASE let me know.

In the meantime, is there any page in the Knowledge Base (for example) that
has an up-to-date list of Critical Updates?
