Encounter diagnostic "The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is
incorrect."

The missing file is BEETHOV9.WM_.

How can I re-install BEETHOV9.WM_ or can it be completely deleted?

It's not a file problem but a Permissions issue on the folder that the
installer is trying to access. The folder you need to grant access to
is \Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents
Once the permissions are setup correctly, SP3 should complete it's
install properly.

That`s just a Windows Media Audio file.
It`s on your original CD, (if you have one !).

Just extract it to
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\My Music\Sample Music

And your good to go.
