I have both 98 and Xp 256Mb ram, pIV 2.4
Xp does not boot, when i select windows xp in the OS choices menu it gives
me a message "windows was unable to boot the last time......." and gives me
choices
1.safe mode
2.last known good config..etc

But no matter what i select i get a blue screen after the innitial loading
screen, the blue screen comes up for just a second with something written on
it and then the system re-boots and comes back to the OS choices Menu.

I had installed Xp Sp2 around a month back and everything was working fine
till a couple of days back so i know this problem is not due to SP2

Windows 98 is working fine

Hi

If you can't boot into Windows normally and the above two do not help, you
will have to look towards a 'Repair' install of XP. Dependent on the type
of XP CD you have, the following article by Michael Stevens will help you:

"How to Perform a Windows XP Repair Install"
