Windows XP Home Installation

How can I make my old software work under Windows Home?
I was using 2k Pro but upgrated my computer with a new
motherboard and cpu. When I went to install XP Home, it
did a separate installation, keeping my old 2k and it
show a choice of booting to XP or 2K. 2K won't boot and
I cannot access any of the previously loaded software. I
can open individual files i.e. Office files and photos
but not the software.
