Windows XP Home Install

Brad

I have XP pro on my computer, but the system is so
screwed up that I want to just reformat the hard drive. I
have a Win XP home upgrade CD that I have never used, if
I reformat the drive, will I be able to install the XP
Home Upgrade? I am worried because it says you need a
previous version and if I reformat then I am not sure if
it will install or not. Any help would be great, thanks a
lot!

You dont need to format, simply boot to xp cd,install new copy,
xp will recognize previous xp os,then delete current partition (xp home),
create one,xp the formats the hd and installs auto.
