windows xp home hangs

i have a new hp pavilion zd800. It hangs every time i use media player that
came with windows so i installed winamp,musicmatch - same result on both
programs ran magafee virus and have microsoft antispyeware beta 1 which works
great, i also have streets and trips that hangs also does the same thing that
the other 3 do
i have 512mb ram 2.8 ghz p4 with ht technology,ati mobility radeon with 64mb
memery dedicated built in windows came preinstalled when i bought it i
updated every updated from microsoft i could find still same problem.i
checked memoey is good,not overheating powersupply is working i also tryed to
run on batterys does the same thing. im stumped it frezes an i have to pull
batery out and unplug power to restart computer.

Have a look in the Event Viewer for any 'Errors'. If any are found, could
you please post the Event ID and Source?

ok i got that part up now which error i have lots of them aplication errors
and system errors they both say explorer
application error says (source-application
hang)(category-101)(event-1001,1002)on event mostly 1002
system errors(source-disk)(cat-none)(event-7)
system errors(source-dcom)(cat-none)(event-10010,1005)
system errors(source-system error)(cat-102)(event-1003)
system error(source-atapi)(cat-none)(event-9)
system error(source-remoteaccess)(cat-none)(event-20106)
