Windows XP home firewall vs others such as McAfee

I have just bought McAfee virus protection version 7. In the UK this comes
including the McAfee firewall. Is there any advantage to running the McAfee
firewall instead of, or as well as, the XP home one? or should I just stick
to what comes with XP home.

No matter what you choose, you should only be running one software firewall
at a time.

The major distinction between XP's Internet Connection Firewall and all
other third party products is that ICF is, by design, a very basic level of
protection and functionality. Most any third party firewall will have many
more features, and is a worthwhile addition to your system.
